Smoky Mountain Triathlon Training Camp — Schedule

Townsend, TN located in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains · April 16–19, 2026

Three days of coached swim, bike, run sessions plus workshops and meals. Below is the tentative daily schedule -- we will continue to refine the schedule over the coming months.

Thursday, April 16

Day 1

1:1 A La Carte Sessions
Participants can sign up for 1:1 Sessions for the following services:
  • LT Testing
  • Physical Assessment
  • Running Gait Analysis

An optional swim at Augusta Quarry in Knoxville

Friday, April 17

Day 2

Leave Tremont
Transportation to the pool.

Swim - Pool
Mobility/activation and technique analysis during a coached pool session.

Saturday, April 18

Day 3
8:00 AM
Bike - Long Ride
Long ride in the Smoky Mountains and on the Foothills Parkway with SAG support. Route options will be available.

Lunch

Quarry Swim
Group swim at Augusta Quarry. Transportation provided.
6:00 PM
Dinner & A Workshop

Sunday, April 19

Day 4
8:00 AM
Run - Long Run
Group run around Cades Cove. 4 mile, 8 mile, and 11 mile options.
11:00 AM
Hotel Check Out
Notes: Schedules are weather-dependent and may change; times are local. Safety briefing and equipment check required before the first session.

What to bring
  • Race bike in good working order & helmet
  • Wetsuit, swim gear
  • Trail shoes + road shoes, layers for variable spring weather
Support
SAG supported rides, supported long runs, coached pool and open water swims, group transportation to training sites, fuel/snacks for all workouts.
